The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) honored Latinos and Non-Latino Artists at the 22nd Annual Impact Awards held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on February 22, 2019.
NHMC recognized and honors Latinos and Non-Latinos artists, executives and film companies that have been committed in advancing Latinos creativity and Latino-themed content with positive portrayals in the industry today.
Emcees Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz welcomed the guests to this great celebration of Latinos that are committed in media, film and positive content that represents the Latino community.
A fantastic list of Latinos honored that night was Yalitza Aparicio (Actress) for the Outstanding Performance in a film for Roma. Veronica Falcon received the Outstanding Performance in Television Series for Queen of the South, USA Networks. Pantelion Films received the Excellence in Production of Latino-themed content. Clifton Collins Jr. was honored with the Outstanding Performance in Film & Television (Westworld, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Pacific Rim). For Outstanding Television, VIDA received the honors.
Along with the guests enjoying a delicious dinner, auction, award celebration and a after party, the organization recognized domestic workers from the National Domestic Workers Alliance that attended to congratulate those representing the Latinos in the industry. The NHMC values the work that the National Domestic Workers Alliance provide for our nation.
